Hello everybody,

I use a cross over network cable to connect my Macbook Pro (Mavericks) with my Motif XF8.
I used to have Snow Leopard and everything worked fine.
I upgraded to Mavericks and I can still successfully mount the MBP.
I set my mac’s IP address to 1.1.1.1 (subnet 255.255.255.0) and XF8’s IP address to 1.1.1.2
When choosing FILE - MOUNT - 1.1.1.1 - USERNAME + PWD, I get “executing” ... “completed”.
NO error message, properly connected.  Also in OS X I get “Ethernet Connected” (constant green led).

However… the only thing I DON’T see, are my shared folders on the Motif…

In OS X :
- Firewall is turned off.
- on the shared folder, everyone has read and write access.

Also, I updated the Motif with most recent firmware.

Anyone an idea how to fix this ?

Thanks !

Hi,

Did you back up their contents before you installed Mavericks?

Hi,

No I didn’t backup the content of the folders, but on the MBP, the shared folders are still there and the content is also there and nothing wrong with the files or so…
The issue is that they don’t show up on the Motif.  Before, when using Snow Leopard, they did appear on the Motif.

And one more thing, it’s not showing empty folders either on the Motif, it is showing an empty list, NO folders whatsoever.  Even if I make a new shared “test folder” on the MBP, nothing appears in the list on the Motif…

My post is a shot in the dark
as I don’t connect this way.

Looking at the screenshot below,

Hey rikdeckers,

I think I already posted the answer for your issue here:
http://www.motifator.com/index.php/forum/viewthread/473384/

So why the duplicate Post???

Just a friendly suggestion; but you may never see the answer to your questions if you keep moving the question to different threads. Folks are likely only going to post a response to either one thread or the other. You may want to stick to one post and stay there until you get a response.

I just happened to have seen this one.
