Anyone have experience with any of these MOXF tutorials or an opinion on which is best?

MOXF In ‘N’ Out -
The Complete Guide to Loading, Saving, Navigating & Managing your content on the Yamaha MOXF Learn More

Yamaha Motif XF Fully Loaded -
Filmed in HD at Motifator.com Keyfax NewMedia’s studios, the XF Fully Loaded video lifts the lid on some of the instrument’s potentially confusing terminology (USER this and that) and shows you exactly how to manage your voice libraries on the XF platform.

Discovering The Yamaha MOX -
The Yamaha MOX6 and MOX8 offer cutting edge sounds from the flagship Motif XS/XF workstations in a mobile, affordable package.
In this video Phil Clendeninn–senior Yamaha product specialist and ‘BadMister’ from the Motifator.com forums–shows you how to find, apply and customize the MOX’s entire list of incredible features.

In addition to looking at the MOX’s own internal treasure chest Phil Clendeninn investigates the instrument’s USB computer integration and audio interface capability.

Phil’s delivery style is insightful, encouraging, and entertaining: having spent a lifetime in product support he instinctively knows what you need to know and how to explain all the features and processes so that you ‘get it.’

In this extensive two and a half hour video he goes through each major section of the MOX, peppering the video with tips on music production in general and, specifically, how to personalize the MOX and make this instrument ‘your own.’

Thanks. Any feedback positive or negative appreciated.

88Fingers,

The MOX video by Phil covers all the standard functions for the MOXF and would be recommended for first time users.
The MOXF In ‘N’ Out video with Dave Polich is more on file storage, flash memory Twiddly Bits etc.
There are two video clips from each in the respective Video sections for MOX and MOXF.
I know there were problems with distribution of hard copy DVD in the forum. I myself had an initial problem with the link provided for the MOXF In ‘N’ Out download version.

There are certain aspects of the MOXF and Motif XF that are similar, but there are also sufficient differences that the above video is probably not a good choice for MOXF users.

Your best bets are definitely the MOX and MOXF videos. The Motif XF video is quite specifically for the Motif XF and, as pointed out, although there are many similarities between Motif XF and MOXF, that video is not really applicable. If you already know the basics of the instrument and simply want to know how to manage all your content and data formats, then MOXF video may be all you need. If you want to get the skinny on the instrument as whole, then would advise getting both.

All these are available either as all region DVDs here in the shop or downloadable video over at the Keyfax shop.

MrMotif,
I see the Shop now has a special for both the MOXF In ‘N’ Out and Discovering the MOX videos.
Are these hard copy DVD or downloadable versions.
Any chance of having the Keyfax.com shop have the same deal for both at the reduced price?? :)

I ordered the bundle package but honestly was disappointed.  I’ve yet to find something that tells me how to create arpeggios, record audio and get a handle on the effects section.
