Hi!
I would like to know if the files from XS/XF can be loaded into MOXF directly, without any conversion.

I have many files from XS (voice banks, samples). Do I need to convert to MOXF, or is the same extension files?

I’m asking that because I own a MOX and thinking to get the MOXF or Motif XS…

Thanks.

Your Motif XF data will load directly, your Motif XS data will not.

Writing “XS/XF” as if they are the same, is not wise; they are not. So while XF VOICE, WAVEFORM, PERFORMANCE, ARPEGGIO and System MIX TEMPLATES are compatible directly from Motif XF files, no data from the Motif XS file format is compatible directly.

Hope that helps.

So, if I buy a MOXF, do I need to convert XS files to MOXF?

You will need to convert the files to either XF or MOXF format.  As noted, these are the two file formats that can be read by the MOXF.
