Yes that is spot on..Thanks
I can’t help believing that If I had a Flash Module large enough , I could just put the entire library on it :)

It’s nice to dream, but there are real-world limitations. Without getting too technical, one of those is something called “maximum address space”. That changes with the processor and operating system, but it comes down to “you can’t always get what you want”, at least not at a price you’re willing to pay.

You could save for an FL1024, however…

:-)

That is my intention, I could load Chick’s collection on the 512 and all the rest on the other ... !!! :)
Many Thanks
Really Appreciate you all
One more question that plagues me - I noticed that some of the samples are for temporary memory space only - How are they used and accessed , and once loaded into temporary on board memory can they be loaded into a slot on the device ?
Thanks

I’m not sure what you’re referring to. The XF has SDRAM that I suppose could be called “temporary” memory, since whatever is put there is volatile (lost when the power is turned off). However, the MOXF doesn’t have that kind of memory.

Could you give an example or two of “the samples… for temporary memory space only” that you’ve noticed?

OK. Those came with the Motif 10th Anniversary Pack I have, and apparently with the Motif Premium Collection, and were originally meant to be loaded to an XF.

As I said, the MOXF doesn’t have the SDRAM memory that’s found in the XF. If you had the room in your flash module, you could load those additional files. With Chick’s Mark V already installed to a 512MB module, you’d probably have to load individual Voices from the files and make sure that the associated Waveforms/Samples weren’t too big. Of course, any Voices you load will overwrite some of those that are already in the MOXF.
