Part 2 should indeed be Straight Finger AF1&2;. However, just having the correct name isn’t enough, since it could be an edited version stored in a User location. It should be PRE3 024. |

Merry Christmas 5pD!!! It’s ALWAYS great to hear from you :-) I loaded an entire Performance Bank from the XF into the User (1) Bank on my MOXF, so I’m sure I overwrote/lost a lot of the original MOXF User Bank (1) Voices. Would changing the Voice have cured the reverse velocity problem? |

I was playing around/searching for a Bass I liked better and I found one (Active P), so I can’t tell you what it was originally. Now that I have switched it, the Bass is playing correctly. As an aside to all my fellow Forum Members that are new to the MOXF, I’ve found that when your changing Performances you have to check EVERYTHING on each Voice to make the Performance play like you want it to. On this particular Performance I’ve had to change the octave, the note limits (range), the velocity settings, etc., on every Voice. |

The 8Beat Basic Performance, if unedited, uses the Preset Voice PRE3 024:B08 for Part 2. Since you can’t overwrite a Preset, what you experienced could only happen due to editing the Performance. PRE3 024 switches between its first two Elements at velocity 40-41. You might try playing it to see what I mean, if you haven’t done so already. Exactly what was happening with your Performance depends on how it differed from the original factory one. It’s possible that the Voice you were initially using in Part 2 had an Element that played at low velocities, and that there was no Element turned on for the higher velocities or it was based on a sample that wasn’t in memory at the time. Anyway, since you seem to have resolved the problem, I don’t suppose it matters now. |

True, but what matters even more to me is how you and the other Members all helped me! Plus, I’m sure you’re right, as the MOXF Performance that was originally there (Andy Lucia) had to have had a Voice in Part 2 (most likely a Guitar Effect/Voice/nuance) that only responded to low velocities. So thanks to all my buddies! Jerry

I expect to post again concerning that in a few days. |
