I can’t convert my motif xs files to xf files correcly.
When I trying to load the xf file (x3v) i have “illegal file”. The same file loading with no problem to motif xf.

how to solve this problem?

Since you say that the converted file loads without problem to an XF, it appears you have access to one of them. In that case, what happens if you load the file to the XF, and re-save it. Will the re-saved file then load correctly to the MOXF?

Hi!

Awave Studio 10.6 claims to be compatible with MOTIF XF file format. So X3V or X3A files created by AWAVE studio should be imported by the MOXF. But unfortunalety I got the same result: MOXF: Illegal file format

I want to create drum voices (UDR).
At least importing samples as a waveform (can contain up to 128 samples) seems to work with Mela’s Wave Form Editor.
I have problems importing self made drum voices created with Mela’s editor, too. I think there is no utility for the MOXF for creating own voices containing samples this time ;-(

Check the size difference on original file and the converted file.

I tried to use Awave never had any luck!
Had a 120mb xs file converted it and it was 500mb maybe this is normal?
Or maybe I did something wrong, Anyway I got “illegal file” file on em

I Got john Melas tools instead. works every time:)

It seems there is a difference if you only convert X3A, X3V files for import to MOXF and if you try to create a (drum) voice from scratch.
If I start from an empty file in Wave Editor, select initialize voice, set up my parameters (ex. coarse tune) then my MOXF does not import these values.
