Hi. Using the “Vintage 74” default electric piano voice for an example, how do you assign/program the modulation wheel to turn off/lower the volume of the default left/right pan effect when the modulation wheel is in the “down” position, and to turn on/raise the volume of the default left/right pan effect when the modulation wheel is in the “up” position? Thank you |

Since you selected the Preset Voice “Vintage’74” you can discover how the original programmer dealt with this: (they used on of the Assignable Function buttons to defeat the pan effect)
Press [EDIT]
Here you will discover the assignment of physical controllers in the six Controller Setups:
You can accomplish your goal by using the ASSIGNABLE FUNCTION 1 button, or you can reprogram this Control Set.
If you don’t want the MW changing the LFO Speed you can set the Depth = 0
Anticipating the next question: How come setting the DEPTH parameter being set positive does not increase the Pan effect?
Press [F6] EFFECT
Just to complete the controller exploration: AF2 will bring in a pad Element adding a synth layer to the Electric Piano sound. This is done with the XA CONTROL (expanded articulation control) programmed on the individual Oscillator > Wave selection screen. XA Control allows dynamic control over how your eight oscillators behave within the Voice. Engaging the [AF2] button compels Element 6 to activate, “AF2 On”, thus adding the “Dark Light” pad Waveform. |
