I just got a gig offer. I play the keyboard, flute and sing a little. The gig is outside. The gig is for an acoustic set. More specifically a “stripped down acoustic” set. I would like to consider buying a portable pa system since I need to be heard. Could I get away with that if I 1) use it to applify my battery operated Yamaha keyboard (MM6) 2) if I use it to play my background music on my iPod. If I can not use the Portable PA system for one or both of the above could I 3)use my MM6’s flash drive to store my background music and have it fit that definition? Thanks! |

The Yamaha MM6 is not battery-powered. We are not sure which Yamaha keyboard you were referring to but the synthesizers that have advanced effect processing and arpeggios are not battery powered. Not really sure when you use the word “portable” if you are referring to the physical weight or the fact that you need everything run on batteries. Please clarify. But if you own an MM6 be sure to plug it in with a PA150 power adapter. |

I meant portable to mean run on batteries. I just took a quick peek to see if the MM6 was capable of battery power. OK, I am glad I have a backup Yamaha that is battery powered. |
