Hi,

control field of usb driver is not opening, after a brief flash only about box is opened, no configuration possible.

Running Mac OS X 10.7.5 on an 5 yrs old MacBook.

Any idea what this could be?

Regards
Axel

What field are you talking about? What do you wish to configure the computer to do with this driver?

If you are referring to the Yamaha Steinberg USB driver v1.6.4 this is both an audio and MIDI driver… Perhaps you are remembering a control panel from some previous driver… In general you configure the setup of this driver according to the application you are going to use it.

You don’t indicate what you want to do?

Hi,

just got the MX61 and want to connect to cubase that was shipped in box. Connection works after manually adding a midi device manually in audio midi setup, but if i want to configure the device on driver level the respective window as described in manual of driver does not open. This is both true when trying to open from os x control panel and when trying to open from within cubase.

Your response was very fast, thanks a lot!

Instructions for Mac are different from Windows:

• [System Preferences] > [Yamaha Steinberg USB]
index.php?ACT=39&fid=164&aid=12636_cVIFdsH5sSE828KMGW6o&board_id=1

When you first open Cubase you will be asked to select your preferred ASIO device (that is, if you have installed the MX REMOTE TOOLS (Extensions).

index.php?ACT=39&fid=164&aid=12638_7JvStZXNOHlTaYW7Zyxx&board_id=1

• From the Cubase series menu, [Devices] > [Device Setup...] > [(Yamaha MX49/61)] > [Control Panel] > [Open Config App] (see screenshot #2 below)

• For Mac, select the sample rate of the device via the Audio MIDI Setup.

• For Mac, select the word clock source of the device via the Audio MIDI Setup.

• For Mac, select the buffer size in the buffer size selecting window, which is opened from an application such as DAW software.
