I just purchased an original Motif Rack (not ES or XS).
It does not have a power supply, and I need to buy one.
The manual says that Motif Rack uses the PA-300 power supply.
As far as I can tell, the PA-300 is 16v, 2.4amp.
There are lots PA-300 knock-offs from China available (eBay etc).

Question 1: Is a non-OEM PA-300 compatible powersupply safe to use with Motif Rack?  As long as it is 16v, 2.4amp?

Question 2: Can anyone point me to a U.S. supplier of OEM PA-300?

Any other advice on power supply for Motif Rack is appreciated.

“Use only the AC power adaptor supplied with the MOTIF-RACK or an equivalent recommended by Yamaha. The use of an inappropriate replacement can pose a fire and shock hazard!

Make sure your MOTIF-RACK is rated for the AC voltage supplied in the area in which it is to be used (as listed on the rear panel). Connecting the unit to the wrong AC supply can cause serious damage to the internal circuitry and may even pose a shock hazard!”
