I use an old 1997 Ford Aerostar van to load my stuff. Easy to work on and very dependable.

I have a chevy suburban.  Level load in: CHECK.  Lots of room: CHECK!  Gas mileage: well, erm… not so much.

Unfortunately, the amount of room I need for hauling (keys rig plus small PA plus a cello plus 3 people) kinda precludes much less.

I used to have a Mazda Tribute that worked ok as long as I put the back seat section down but now I have a Honda Odyssey and that van can haul with the best of them.  I can take my family of four out with my whole rig in the back.  I have taken a three way stereo system with two subs, mixer, snake and four monitors in that van!
