Please need help have just purchased my FW16E please wat are the basic settings I need to do in Logic to get midi and audio control over the motif in logic I have followed a video on youtube and changed the I/Os in motif and now I can’t get any sound even I choose the yamaha as audio device please I friend told me about this site please need help.

Have no idea what youtube video you watched. Try these:

If getting your keyboard to ‘play’ again, is what you meant by,
“I can’t get any sound”,
if this is what you want to do now,
it sometimes is a good idea to return to the beginning. :-)
(please see attachment)
press UTILITY
then CONTROL
then MIDI
Just match these settings, you should be able to hear the sounds of the keys, on the Motif XF.

I think because you own a Motif XF
you should use THAT FORUM for this post.
The best help is there.
(exceptions to those others that have attempted to help you here:-)

I do also know that Logic has problems that Cubase Ai5 doesn’t.
I have switched back to it.

The sound you are hearing- is it notes, feedback? Without more info, it seems to be a port that is not propoerly setup.

There are two resources: the videos I linked to and the tutorial I wrote in this forum for the XS and mLAN, which is essentailly the same as the setup for the FW16e. They both demonstrate proper setup.
