I’ve been a long-time Yamaha junkie and Electone enthusiast.

The current Motif and Stagea can trace their lineage back to the mighty GX-1.  That great platform spawned everything Yamaha ever did after.  By way of the CS series and DX series, we arrive here, where all modern programming and design result in the MOTIF series.

There are many similar design elements and features across the Stagea and the Motif.  Every other Yamaha keyboard falls in between or is a packaged variant thereof.  They must have made bags of money on all the PSR series and DGX line.

My dream instrument would be a MOTIF inside a Yamaha ELX-1.

Maybe Yamaha will build this for me?

1 x 49 note solo keyboard manual
2 x 61 note manuals
1 x bass pedals
1 x pitch ribbon (like CS-80)
MOTIF XF8 engine

and then I would be done and not need another keyboard.  Ever.

Why don’t companies ever listen to me?  I am brilliant :)
