Here are some other colors I think they should make:

1) Ferrari Red—Make those Nord players jealous!

2) Sky Blue—Great for ambient/lounge/chill and of course—blues

3) Rasta Green—With Red Gold and Black accents. Bubblin!

4) iPod White—emanates coolness. Great for self absorbed prius drivers

5) Moby Grape—this purple shade reeks of pschedelia. Bring on the mothership!

6) Classic Retro—add wood side panels to any shade for an extra $495. Cherry or Walnut

7) Others???

Nice!  I like the orange and blue idea too… at least I think I do.  I may change my mind if I were to see one.  :x

I think there should also be three five more colors:

1- Brown

2- Olive

3- Pink Gay

4- Transparent(so you can see all the components & machinery inside)

5- Striper (black with yellow stripes)

+100 if you are able to control LED lighting on the inside to be whatever color you choose.  :P

I would add:

7) Ipanema —Simulated Bamboo

8) Modern Classic - Translucent Mod Wheel with mood lighting, gets brighter as mod wheel increased

The Funkster edition—Moby Grape with Cherry Wood panels and Lighted Mod Wheel :)

Seriously I think if something like the funkster edition sold for say, +$1499 over base, plenty of touring bands would pay for it.

Oh, hell yeah!!! You could “tron” just about anything up for me and I’d think it was cool though.

I may be boring here, but I love the fact the XF is black.  I have always thought the Motif line was a very good looking line of synths (many don’t agree, but hey...).  The black is sweet to me though.

But, if I didn’t go black… well, Tron it is!!!

Just wonder if there are any EL wire etc that can be driven straight from USB instead of having to use the various driver packs…

Although firewire delivers more current than USB :) I’ve seen USB driven plasma globes…

Oh man, we should just get together and come up with some Motif Keyboard “Skins”!!! They’ve got Custom Skins for almost everything now-a-days, from iPhone, to Xbox’s and PS’s, so why not we come up with a line of our own!!! “Who’s coming with me, who’s coming with me!” - Jerry Mcquire (LOL)

@ Jive - I too was already digging the color of the Motif Line, there were too many black and white keyboard/ workstations our there (at the time), and Yamaha knew just how to address that. But then they come out with a black MOTIF, and you just can’t deny how sexy this beast looks!!!!!

@ Funkster - Now that is “Funky”!!!! I saved that link to my favorites. Gonna post up some pics a customized XF when I get mine!!!!
