Why Yamaha constantly comes out with these heavy synths is beyond me. I use Cakewalk Sonar for sequencing. It would be nice and lighter for one nighters if Yamaha would produce an XF without a sequencer and also drop 20 lbs on the weight. Otherwise, I feel unless there’s some “magically unbelievable” sounds in the new XF, for purpose of live and writing processes, the ES series is good enough. Someone mentioned Canon and it’s digital cameras and camcorders constantly coming out with newer versions. This is a cashbox approach to keep the companies going. For example, Windows is constantly coming out with more versions. If everyone bought the first version of Windows and no more versions were coming out, Microsoft would be bankrupt. Let’s be clear about this. Upgrades are a cashbox at best, but we’ll see how the market reacts to the pricey XF series in this shi**y economy… |

Ever since the XF announcement, I’ve really been thinking about my XS usage and considering more and more maybe a performance tailored board is more suited to my needs. That being said, when the S70/90XF gets released a year or more after the MotifXF (right?) it should a perfect time for me to make the switch. That will give me plenty of time to consider my needs. Although at this time I feel I could never be without my workstation. |

Either Yamaha should make an XF series with FULL sampling and sequencer implementation (crossfade looping, step sequencing etc) or they should give up the XF line and make a product with only sampling and synthesis (no sequencing)...S-series doesnt have sampling which is a bummer. There is no point of making an XF or XS with stripped down sequencer and sampler. |

I don’t believe in you’re mason theory. But i think is in human nature to be greedy and to try to become more rich than the others and if is possible,to become rich with only a little effort.Everyone’s dream is to become rich with no big effort. Of course the leaders of this world are very rich and they want to preserve that in they’re own interest. That’s why they try to control the masses with different tools, like NaF for example.... And is well known that a rich man ,want to grab even more money and power. That’s why the Economic Crisis exist. Because is in human nature to be greedy. Maybe u don’t like many companies and how marketing works. But u can’t change the human nature. |

DmitryKo, your just the example i was talking about. Your a brainwashed lazy goon who hasn’t done any research. If you knew your facts, you would know that a full frame sensor has absolutely no advantage over a APS-C sensor. I’ve looked at every technical test under the planet with side by side comparisons of 100% magnafied RAW files and seen the data. The whole mis-information bandied about is that the full frame sensor has better dynamic range, better signal to noise ratio, better color accuracy, and better resolution, what a load of sh_t, have you heard of the “law of limiting returns” fart head. The only reason Canon went with full frame sensors was to appease all the pro’s who had already spent tens of thousands on 35mm size lenses. In every technical category the slightly smaller APS-C sensor equals and sometimes surpasses the full size sensor in every respect. You spent thousands on a Canon to say hey look, i’ve got an overpriced full frame camera that does sweet fu_k all better than the others. What are you a fashion victim or something, get a life dweeb. The cheapest full frame digital SLR in the Canon range is the 7D. With standard lens it costs $3299 here in Australia. The Pentax K7 costs less than half that… It is fully weather sealed, has a 100% viewing viewfinder,RAW development plus conversion to 16bit TIFF all on board(which no canon or nikon can do), it has 7 frames a second shooting, full aliminium alloy body, 3 inch pin sharp LCD, massive amounts of battery time per charge as in 850 shots, HDR shooting onboard, bat out of hell autofocus, HDMI output, HD video, and a 150,000 rated shutter mechanism. Got any come backs for that lot goose brains. |

My Motif ES7 at around a hefty 50 lbs. plus a case, is a real bear to haul and set up for one nighters. Why can’t Yamaha make a similar synth without a sequencer, which I’ve never used and lighter for one nighters and such??? |
