Greetings.

I’m currently using my motif classic as a monitor while mixing with my DAW.
I’m connecting my laptop’s stereo outs to the A/D inputs of my motif, and monitoring by connecting High Quality headphones to the Motif.

What i’d like to know is : What should i set the A/D input level knob to? middle, maximum, etc...?

Also the output gain in the utility I/O settings, should it be on 0db or +6db or +12db ?

I just need a good overall level setting that will let me monitor things well.

Thanks.
Hope everyone is doing well.

R.

Just set it by ear.  If you hear distortion, reduce the input level until it goes away.

I’d use 0 dB unless you can’t get enough volume even with the input level knob at maximum.
