I just installed the PLG150-VL board in my Motif 8.....

I have played with it a bit through the breath controller doing single horn sounds… What I would REALLY like to do is to be able to layer a trumpet, a sax, and a trombone in a performance to give a horn section sound. I have tried to set up the performance by layering, and can select one voice from the board, but for some reason I cant select a second and third. Is it not possible to do this? If it IS possible, what do I need to do to get this full sound out of this beautiful circuit board?

Thank you…

Mike

Mike,

All of the PLG boards (with the exception of the PLG100XG and PLG100VH) are single voice boards and therefore they can only generate a single voice at a time. If you really need to generate 3 voices using VL technology, you would need to install 3 PLG150VL boards in your Motif.

You can create performance or mixes that layer PLG board voices with voices generated by the Motif’s internal AWM2 tone generator.
