I was saving a song I was working on to my 128 MB SMC and it had like 3.7 MB left and I went to
File
and went to overwrite the previous version of the song. As it was saving, I left the studio for about 30 minutes and came back and the screen said disk too full. Fine. I notice that ALL of my songs are gone. Then I checked my .wavs and all of them are gone also. So I check the space on the card and it says that its 3.4MB free and 121MB used but nothing is showing up. Even when I put my SMC into a PC its says that its almost full but no files show up. So went to SONG mode and recorded 1 note onto a track and tried to save it and the screen said it was full. I have everything except 2 songs backed up on my HDD and I those were for a major artist. Is there anything I can do to fix my SMC?
If I can’t retrieve my data, how can I still use the card?

You might try to file-check the card on the PC;
If all fails, don’t format it on the PC but on the motif.
And for later: make a backup of a project as soon as

How do I file check my card on the Pc? Just insert the SMC into PC and check the files? If so, I’ve done that already unless there is more to it. |

I guess you are using Windows Explorer or a file manager on the PC? Right click the drive for Properties->Tools->Error Checking ;JOOP! |
