I have a Motif ES8, and have run into an issue (I have a workaround) that I’d like to better understand.

If I load some samples into wave “slots”, and then assign them to voices, I can use them in performances (we use a lot of sound efx samples in the set).

However, I can’t seem to find a way to override the contents of a particular waveform—it just keeps overdubbing on top of the current contents of the slot.

(It’s actually come in handy for some things—and I do have a workaround—to reinitialize everything, I just power-cycle the Motif!)

That said—is there a way to re-initialize just one waveform—other than the power cycle?

thanks in advance for any help,
--vla =:-)

In sampling mode, hit [Job]

There is a job that lets you delete a specific Waveform from memory. P177 of the Manual has more info.
