When I save my files as SMF and I try to play them back are they supposed to be messed up? I was told to save them this way so that I could put them on my hard drive and load them to Pro tools, but are they suppose to sound distorted and without drums under SMF? I’m worried that I’ve done something wrong. Is anyone familiar with saving files as SMF?

SMF is just MIDI without mixing info.
Distortion never happened to me.
In fact: it’s impossible as MIDI is only keystrokes and effects controls.
