Here are a couple of songs. I was bored and felt
Waves: simple little song (with the typical rock middle).
Corn: WARNING IT GETS LOUD AFTER IT STARTS SOFT!
Anyway, enjoy. File Attachments

After giving a listen to both songs, I concluded rather quickly that “Wave” was the more appealing to me. Just not a big fan of distorted guitar, I guess. I really like what you did on “Wave” - starting the guitar out at the right tempo for the song, then introducing what sounds like a synth slowly followed by (Power Standard Kit I think)drums. Also liked the way you sneaked that electric guitar in soon afterward, “let it go” so to speak before the next verse and “brought it back” after a couple of measures. Nice job! The only thing I wasn’t feeling was the use of the cymbals at around the 2:20 mark. Sounded a little bit cluttered in the mix. But hey… what do I know. You’re light years ahead of me in song creation. I’m with you, jmath… I hear stuff like this and I just might take up another hobby (lol). |

Hi Jbirds I do not comment often on songs on mo-song, but this time I make an exception. I just listened to both songs at my office on so-called very cheap PC speakers and even than both songs sounded great. That alone is already a great achievement. So I wonder how it sounds to-night on my monitor speakers. I like both songs. I am very impressed about the skills you showed, musically and technically. I did not get the feel however that you were bored, composing those pieces. The song “Corn” was not boring at all, its very inspiring and did very well as a wake up call. LOL. Saying, get to work to me, make some great songs to-day. Thanks Jan |

Lovin both these tunes. For me, Waves could have done with a lead guitar over the top. What guitar sounds did you use for Corn ?? - Shame I don’t have much hair left, I could have had a good head banging session to that one !!!! LOL Mark. |
