To whom it may concern:

What are the correct steps to record and save a vocal track?

I’m not capturing the data properly!

In what format do I save it?

Thanks,

Ron

Ron,

Check out the following post (from the older version of these forums): Recording Vocals with the Motif Classic

Once you’ve recorded your vocal into the Motif Classic you will need to save your song (including the vocal sample) as part of an ALL or ALL SONG file as songs (including samples) are stored in volatile memory (meaning they are lost when you power off the instrument).

Regards,

Brad Weber

Thanks Brad… it’s working fine now due to your genius!

I have another question about normalizing the sample!

I tried to follow the instructions in the manual, but they weren’t clear!

Could you provide an easy “step-by-step” instruction for me to “normalize” the vocals… i.e. maximizing the volume of the “vocal sampled” track?

Thanks,

Ron
