I’ve got Cubase AI 10.5 with my MX. I want to sync the LFO on a pad/strings type patch to modulate the filter as a repeating loop, a fairly standard technique with 8th notes. I’ve got it all set as it should be, as per the manuals:
- Cubase has MIDI Clock Destination set to the MX
- The MX has the LFO set to Loop, Tempo Sync is On, Key On Reset is 1st On (I’ve tried the others to no avail), Hold is On.

It sounds fine on its own with the LFO modulating the filter very nicely. When I hold a chord and start Cubase playing, the MX LFO drifts out of sync after two or three bars. What might I be doing wrong?
