Hi there, I am looking for the software downloads for the Motif XF. In the XF section (downloads) I can’t find the “Editor” and/or the “Studio Manager”. I guess I need those applications when I want to start working with Cubase? Also on the Yamaha website (downloads) I couldn’t find software for the XF (only a MIDI driver..).
Any advice/ tips? Thanks!

...but if they don’t work for you, try substituting “europe” for “usa” in the links.

In all cases, install the version appropriate for your computer platform and its operating system…

1) Verify that your XF has the most recent OS version (1.50). If not sure, see https://usa.yamaha.com/support/updates/61410_en.html
Update the OS first if it’s not already 1.50.
2) If you haven’t already done so, install the USB-MIDI Driver.
3) Install the MOTIF XF Editor Standalone/VST
4) If your XF has an FW16E interface, install the Yamaha Steinberg FW Driver.
5) At that point I suggest setting up the Editor as standalone and verify that things are working correctly.
6) Install the MOTIF XF Extension if using Cubase.

Note that Studio Manager does not have to be installed if the only Motif being used is the XF. Otherwise see:
