Greetings friends!

Struggling to add some backing drums to my patterns. I just get the ability to program them in my self but I want them to basically behave the way they would if I was adding an arpeggiated drum assignment to a part in a performance.

I’m pretty sure it’s doable but unfortunately, I find myself unable to figure it out.

Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi all, hoping to this a gentle nudge. If anyone knows if this is indeed possible (or isn’t), I’d be most grateful!

Thanks!

Hi

I normally don’t use the drums in my MoXF myself since I have other gear for that.
However, quickly tested ONE way of doing this.
1 - Mixing and set ‘parameter with voice’ for the track you intend to use for your drums.(you will find numerous posts here about this).
2 - Select some arpeggiated drums for this track.
3 - I held and recorded a note for the whole duration of my pattern in my test, but I’m sure there will be some hold or similar if you don’t want to do that.
4 - Now my drums are playing when I press Play.

Hope this gets you going in the right direction at least.

Cheers

It’s unclear (to me) exactly what you’re wanting to do.

Perhaps one or more of the following will be helpful…

First of all, thank you zpink for your assistance. I’ll be giving your suggestion a whirl.

5pinDIN, apologies if I’m not being clear enough. Here’s what I want to do.

Record a Pattern (or Song), but rather than manually punch out a drum track, I’d like to use the built in drum patterns (i.e. arpeggios) such that they are recorded so that they are present when I am working on another track. As such, the arpeggio itself must be recorded (or at least triggered) while I am playing back the track.

Hope this clarifies! I’ll have a look at your links also to see if it helps. Unfortunately, I’m a relative novice with the MOXF, much as I love it!

I hope you’ll manage to do exactly what you want in the end.
When you do, maybe it’ll help a future user if you’d put some more detailed steps here than my quick reply above. ;-)
