A couple of my Encoder Knobs got damaged during travels and I have ordered replacements but was hoping to find some instructions for taking apart the Motif XS Rack Unit and removing the old encoders.

Can someone provide me with some guidance?

Thanks in advance!

Joe

Disassembly instructions that cover removal of the PN1 board can be found in the Service Manual:

Beyond that, good soldering skills and general experience servicing electronic gear would be very useful.

If any of the rotary encoders got hit hard enough, damage to the circuit board itself might have occurred. Look closely for cracks.

Thanks… Fortunately I have quite a bit of experience desoldering circuit board level components so this should be fairly straightforward. Just hoping the PIN1 Board was not damaged as well.

Thanks again for the help!
