I am attempting to recreate that wonderful sound from the many WWII dramas (e.g., Band of Brothers)… I have always enjoyed the richness of the sounds.  Please let me know if I have accomplished that here....

UPDATE:

I appreciate the comment regarding simple… it was a starting point.  Here is the finished product.  BTW, the drums were intentionally reverbed for that empty sound… for mood.

Well, it definitely fits with the military/war motif. The composition itself is a little simplistic but it works. Maybe a little bit too much reverb on the snare and cymbal but otherwise the mix is right there.
