Hello everyone,
Just need help on how in the world do I get the XS8 to be a MIDI controller for Sonar?  Need help with settings...Sonar does not even recognize the Motif as a MIDI input.  I’m new to this...but it should be easier!  Help! The Motif XS editor says that I do not have the ports properly set when I try to USB it.  Also, I try firewire and that doesn’t work either.  If someone could just lead me through some basic steps or how to even check if I have the right drivers, that would be great!
Thanks!
Andy

Yes we would like to check if you have the right drivers… a good an logical place to start. You’ll have to post what you downloaded (as it is difficult to see from our current distance) :)

Things you can do:
On the Motif XS
Check your units firmware version:
Press [UTILITY] to enter Utility mode
Press and hold [UTILITY] + [UP CURSOR] + [F1]

The latest firmware is 1.55.xx if you do not have this please go to the Motif XS updater page

Let us know what else you have downloaded.
