Is there any way to delete ALL duplicate waveforms from my FL1 flash module without having to delete EACH waveform individually? There are hundreds of dups starting with the 001 and going up to 900’s and further. I would think Yamaha would have an option to delete ANY waveforms in the entire FL1 (or FL2) that were the same. |

It would be convenient to have such a function available on the XF, but unfortunately that’s not the case. See http://www.motifator.com/index.php/forum/viewthread/476318/ |

If John Melas has a way of doing this, one would think giant Yamaha could also. Anyway, it looks like I’ll have to reformat the FL1 and try to populate it again with pertinent waveforms. Thx. |

In my opinion, Yamaha was lax about flash module functionality right from the beginning. With the initial OS, it was impossible to avoid duplicating Waveforms when reloading an “All” file - the “None” Load option wasn’t available until OS version 1.10 was released. It seems that once the John Melas software became available, Yamaha decided to “let Melas do it”.

That approach is certainly one way to resolve the problem. Of course, be sure to use the “None” load option, when appropriate, to avoid the issue in the future. |

Is there a global setting somewhere to make the “none” load option default? I have the same issue. |

Nope, you have to set none every time. It became a habit for me a long time ago. |
