I bought myself DCP’s Axxe sound library for Christmas and have been playing around with some of the performances lately.

I thought I would try some rockabilly guitar pickin’ style using performance “Jazz Brothers 1” from Axxe.  I changed the lead guitar from “Gretsch” to “Funky Telecaster” USR3 094(F14).

So here’s me, recorded live from performance mode, trying to play rockabilly style. :)

Feedback appreciated.

Whoa, sorry, posted that one too soon, as is obvious from the lack of replies.

Well, now you know how I get ideas for new songs. :)

Here’s the finished version.  I fixed the drum rhythm to match the rockabilly style, added some rhythm guitar and re-mixed all of the instrument levels.

Hope this one sounds better. :)

Second one is definitely better. It starts in a catchy way but then it becomes boring and monotonous. If u can extend the length and maybe add few more leads with other instruments. It would shine.

Axxe Guitars are maybe the best sound library out there. I have had this for a long time. and made many songs with it.

Hi Hammad,

Generally, a rockabilly band is just lead/rhythm guitar, upright bass and drums, so I don’t want to add anymore instruments.  I just need to work out some more guitar riffs to spice it up a bit so it’s not so repetitive.

I’m really digging the Axxe library.  I currently have a heavy metal song in the works using Axxe and I may also do a 60’s surf guitar style song after that.

Well, let’s call it a cover.
Nowadays everybody is suing everybody else for copying borrowing ...
you name it.
Enjoy the music.
