I am new to the forum...Thanks for your advise on my cover of Say Something as a guitar duet with piano with multi-tracks of strings and woodwind voices.

Hi, welcome on the forum.
I don’t know the original song, but what occurred to me:
- the strings come in late.
- the piano has problems ‘walking’, it’s too stiff.
- the guitar better be an electric one to give it some ‘body’;
how about PRE2 C03?

Sciuriware - Thanks very much for your comments. I agree about the piano being a little stiff. I might have been a little too concerned about staying on the 3/4 beat..Maybe I can slice and add a few extra notes to make it more interesting.

The lead (and harmony) voicing was tough to pick.  The original was done as a vocal duet. First, I experimented with voicing through the breath controller, but too much to sync with two lead parts.  I will try your suggestion for electric guitar and I wiil look at the entry points for the strings.

THANKS AGAIN for taking the time to listen and write back!!

For this kind of songs you’re gonna hate the metronome.
No wonder Eric Satie left all the measures from his sheet music.
A good song has its own natural tempo.
