I recently purchased a Motif 6 and love it...great board. I bought a vintage synth and B’s Knees sound up-load from keyfax,but when I downloaded the file it appears to be for the motif x series. Is it possible to still download these sounds to my motif 6, and if so...how? I downloaded the program to a flash drive, and it plugs in nicely to the board, but the instructions to download the sound program is different. Any help at all would be great. I amd after the amazing “jump” patch that is in the vintage keys product and the awesome B3 sounds in the other sound pack.

If your download window has expired contact Keyfax about getting the right version of the libraries. Otherwise do the download again but get the right file ;)

On the original Motif data storage normally uses a Smart Media card, but if the library comes with Voice Editor files you can load the voices from the software over USB without a SM card. You mentioned plugging in a thumb drive, do you have an ES 6?

If you don’t have a Smart Media card yet you need one.  The shop here sells them or check eBay.  Get a 128MB card and a card reader if your computer doesn’t have one built in.
