When ever I am plugged into my sound card (Steinberg CI2) or anyone else’s sound card I hear a buzzing sound.  If I am plugged into a keyboard amp I don’t hear anything.  Does anyone know why I might be experiencing this or how to turn it off.  I can turn it down when using a sound card, but I want to get rid of it.

Thanks again.

This belongs in the Recording forum.

You have a ground loop somewhere between your Motif and your computer. Are you using the USB-MIDI connection on the Motif? As an experiment, disconnect that cable and see if the buzzing stops.

Sadly, getting rid of ground loops is not a simple “just do this” kind of problem. It involves swapping audio and power cables and other tricks until you find something that works.

No, I am not using the USB-MIDI connection.  I am going audio left and right out from my ES to my sound card’s audio in and audio out.
