Hi,

I have an MX88 that I bought around 2016. About three weeks after I got it the band broke up. Since then it’s been in it’s case and not used. I’d like to start using it in a small home studio set up now but before I do I’d like to update it’s firmware.

Question: The existing firmware is from 2016. If I update now will it update everything from 2016 to recent?  Also, if there’s an online link that shows the steps on how to do the update that would be appreciated.

There are two versions of the MX. The first version, for which there’s a firmware update available, was only sold as a 49-key and 61-key model. Version 2 added the 88-key model. There’s no firmware update for Version 2.

You’re welcome. Yes, no OS updating is required for an MX88.
