Hello, What software is typically used for backing up/restoring from the YMR? I’ve tried a simple MIDI editor (record/save/playback) and it doesn’t work. I’d prefer something that doesn’t take up gigs of my hard drive with studio and soft synth stuff which I would never use, basically I just want a very basic app for just the backup function.  TIA

Bulk dumps from the Rack ES, especially all the Multis, can be quite large. For Windows, a utility such as MIDI-OX (http://www.midiox.com/) might be able to handle them. If not, perhaps consider software from John Melas (http://www.jmelas.gr/motif/es/products.php).
