Hi! I bought a CS6R and PLG150-AN board. I figured out how the famous Expert Editor is working, and I know that I have to bulk data to the CS6R if I want to store the patch to the 036/002 user bank, and not only the editing buffer. My problem is starting after I powered down the CS6R and back on. All the user patches are reset to the factory ones. :( I tried near everything, but the only way is just to create a backup to the memory card and read back every time I starting the CS6R. Is it normal? Is it the way as designed for this function? Thanks for every reply!
Regards,

Yes, it is normal. The PLG150-series synth boards had a RAM bank, 036/002 is that bank in the AN board. The board does not have internal memory, so the data that is housed there is only temporary and must be restored each time you power up. (in a similar fashion to how a sampler must restore its data to RAM each time power is cycled) Fortunately you can creat an Auto Load file that can be set to automatically restore your your PLG150-AN RAM bank sound each time you power on. You must load in your AN sounds into 036/002, then create a File that backs up the plugin slot…
AUTOLD1.S2B for slot 1

Thanks for the reply! This loading / storing methodology is a bit frustrating, however if I pay attention that I have to save autold1 file before every power down, it could be tolerable.
Thanks again and best regards,

You only have to do it once unless you are lame and lose your file. Much like a computer remembers your selection for the picture you use on your desktop… Do you have to save that before every power down? No, what makes you think you’d need to do this every time… Once will do. Try it, it gets less “lame” when you see how it works! :-) |

Do you have a SmartMedia card for your CS6R? The idea is you save the file(s) to the card and it gets reloaded automatically every time you power up. I used autoloading for years with my Motif ES/PLG cards, works great. |
