Please tell us what you mean by “patch”. Are you in Voice mode, Performance, etc.? |

Sorry I’m in perform mode. I have a piano with pads underneath and I want to control the volume of the pad with a volume pedal |

Yes. You can set the RECEIVE SWITCH for “EXPRESSION” to OFF for the PARTs that you do not want to respond to the pedal
From your PERFORMANCE
Here you can activated or deactivate physical controllers for each PART as necessary. Since you want to control the PAD (leave EXPRESSSION checked for this PART, and clear the EXPRESSION box for the PIANO PART). Now the piano will ignore the FC7 pedal Press [STORE] to update your PERFORMANCE. |

I have to bring that subject back on top because I need exactly the same behavior for my FC7: control volume for one part, leave the other part untouched.
I exactly followed the steps above and switched off the Foot Controller 1 where my FC7 pedal is plugged in but nothing happens. It still affects the volume.

Fc1 controls total volume. Plug the fc7 into foot controller 2 to assign it. |
