This dimm works but when you turn off the motifxs8 and then power up again the samples and any new voices that you load are gone.you will see the name of the voice or sample but you will not here a thing, Don’t buy this memory just because it’s cheap you are wasting your time and money.

SO, THESE DIMMS WORK JUST THE WAY THEY SHOULD.

In other words, those are as good as all others.

Did you expect the samples to survive a power down?
Please read the manual(s) (again).

No they do not work the way that they should, And no i don’t need to read the manual again, this is what i’m saying.I down loaded new voices xpand your world,I installed the voices with
out a problem, the S700 piano and the voices and horns sounds great,Now this is the problem,When i turn off my motif and back
on again the S700 piano and the Scat voices are there in name only i press the keys and there is no sound,Some of the voices that i downloaded still play but most of them have no sound,And this happed eveytime i down load any voices or sampel.

If you would have read the manual you would have known that:

All Motif’s (Classic, ES, XS) loose their samples from memory at power down.
Therefore there’s something like AUTOLOAD.

Obstinate person.

OK, I take back the last remark.

Admitting to be wrong is rare today.
I admire it.

Have a nice time with your Motif and remember: AUTOLOADING
will take away some problems.

You can get the memory right here at the motifmart or take your chances on ebay. I had everything ordered altogether at the store right down to the case, and that was a big bend over and grab yer ankles price of $100 per dimm! It hurts when i sit but at least my ears are happy.
