One possibility is to use so-called ready-to-assemble or knock-down furniture from a company like IKEA.
This Google search might provide some ideas:
A quick search didn’t turn up any IKEA locations in Louisiana, but there may be other such suppliers in your area.

Thanks 5PIN for responding and your suggestions. If you saw my homemade setup, yours would look professional. i did do some google image searches with different word strings and while some desks looked ok, nothing jumped out. i’ll keep looking i’m having a house built and my wife suggested the cabinet maker build one......
here’s a chuckle for you...a pic of my existing “studioâ€. i tried previewing it twice but didn’t see it (jpg) hopefully it goes through (it’s only 96kb in size)
