How easy or difficult is it to load and keymap wav. samples into XF? I have 44 wav. files 1 for each key. I need to assign to each key. I do this on a M3 but love the idea of the flash memory.

Place the 44 .wav files in a folder on a USB stick (or, if you are using Ethernet: in a folder on your computer).
Call up a USER VOICE to which you would like to import the data. You can select a normal USER VOICE or a USER DRUM VOICE
Press [FILE]
Set TYPE = WAV
Move the cursor to the KEY parameter and set this to the lowest KEY would like the samples to map from…

Using the LEFT CURSOR arrow move up to the Directory and highlight one of the .WAV files in the folder.

Press [F6] LOAD MULTI
Press [YES] to confirm.

The XF will load them (all of the .wav files in the folder) chromatically from the note you selected. If you selected C1 they will load C1~G4.

This will load the samples to SDRAM creating a New Waveform (if you selected a normal User Voice) or 44 new Waveforms (if you selected a USER Drum Voice)
You can install the Waveform(s) on your FLASH boards.
Press [INTEGRATED SAMPLING} to view the SAMPLE SELECT screen
Choose the WAVEFORM containing your samples.
Press [JOB]
Press [F3] OTHER
Select COPY TO FLASH MEMORY

You can opt to delete the original if you want to clear your SDRAM for new data.
Target the FLASH BOARD FL1 or FL2
Press [ENTER]

You have now created a new Waveform with 44 samples and have installed it on your Flash Board. It is all very painless. Your question was: How easy? Pie - we have a saying “Easy as pie”

Wonderful steps and I’ve now saved a new waveform.
How do I use this waveform onto a performance please?

Hi Ajay shah.

First you need to make a user voice (I believe). Initialize a new voice - From the Reference Manual:

1 In the Voice mode, press the [JOB] button to
enter the Voice Job mode.
2 Press one of the [F1] to [F4] buttons to call up
the desired Job display.
3 Move the cursor to the desired parameter, then
set the value.
Set the parameters for executing the Job.
4 Press the [ENTER] button. (The display
prompts you for confirmation.)
To cancel the Job, press the [DEC/NO] button.
5 Press the [INC/YES] button to execute the Job.
After the Job has been completed, a “Completed”
message appears and operation returns to the original
display.
6 Press the [VOICE] button to return to the Voice
Play mode.

Then press Edit. Go to Element Edit (Track Select buttons 1-8 = Elements 1--8).

From there, go to where it says Waveform, and select the User bank, rather than the “PRE"(Preset) bank.

You can now pick your waveform just like any of the factory waveforms, and use it in any voice. Edit as you would any other voice. Just pick your waveform.

Hope this helps!

-Max
