When User Voices are used in the Songs: you need save file with type “all”. When no User Voices are used in any of the Songs: you can save file with type “all songs”. After saving, you can use the Job button and simply clear the song. In Song mode press Job button and F6 [song]. Then select number of song which you want to clear. You need to be careful not to erase the song with a different number. So watch carefully the number of the song that is being erased. Read Motif XF Reference manual page 165. When you load your song back to Motif individually you need select “song” in field “Type”. Read Motif XF Reference manual page 246 “Loading a specific Song or Pattern from an “all” or “all song” or “all pattern” file”.

Good information, just a couple of suggestions to add…

There’s a way to save as Type “all song” without concern of accidentally changing a User Voice used in one or more Songs. Mixing Voices allow that choice as long as Drum Voices aren’t edited, since they can’t be stored as Mix Voices.

If clearing every Song is desired, the Song number in the “Clear Song” Job can be set to “all”. That setting is just past number “64”.
