Hi all, i have the motif s xs7, i downloaded some free MIDI files but with wrong instrument associations, i modified them with the internal editor and tried to save them again to the USB stick to free up some memory slots, but if i reload them again all modifications were not be saved. why that? thank you.

Welcome to the forum.

Here are a couple of possibilities…

1) For edits to be SAVED, you first have to STORE the Program.

2) If the file was a General MIDI type, there may be a GM Reset command embedded. If there, for your purposes it should be removed. Here’s a support article explaining how a GM Reset is used:
