Hi Motif community.

I’m triyng to use the XF’s digital out connected to my Roland MX-1 mixer but there is no sound coming out the Motif.
I’m using a correct coaxial digital cable.
Any ideas please?
Thank you.

The XF’s digital (S/PDIF) output is usually reliable. There are no settings to turn it off.

Why do you think that the issue is related to the Motif? Are you sure it’s not due to an incorrect setting on the Roland mixer? What sampling frequency and bit rate is the mixer set to?

You solved my problem.

Default Usb audio frequency is set to 96 kHz in the MX-1.
Setting it at 44.1 makes that the Motif XF sounds through the digital output.

Thank you very much!

You’re very welcome. I’m glad the problem had a simple solution.
Often that’s the case…
