Hoblaa,

I was just goofing around in the moXF8 and creating a basic minimal drumkit and I noticed that each drum hit has a high pass filter in the filter settings.

Is it possible to assign this hpf to the Assignable Knob -controllers or through MIDI? Has anyone tried this? One problem I see is that each drum hit has their OWN hpf, which might make a MIDI controller spit out massive amounts of control data. :P

Welcome to the forum.

For a Normal Voice, HPF Cutoff can be assigned to a controller, but not with a Drum Voice. I suggest seeing if the Cutoff knob satisfies your needs. Another possibility is to apply an Insert Effect having HPF Cutoff as one of the Parameters, then assigning that Parameter to a controller. See the Effect Parameter List beginning on page 98 of the MOXF Data List (http://download.yamaha.com/file/60483).

Yuss, insert effect was my plan B, was hoping that I wouldn’t have to sacrifice an effect voice for that but I might have to do it that way. :D

Ring Modulator without the ‘ring’ might be able to accomplish what I want to achieve (a DJ style low cut for transitions).

Cheers o/
