Hi everyone,

I tried the Halion Symphonic Orchestra trial version but I don’t want to buy it. So I waited for the trial-period to end (today).
After I got the message “Some content could not be loaded...trial licenses have expired”.

I followed the steps to remove the trial version from my installed software list (Remove programs).
The warning (error) screen keeps popping up even after uninstalling the software. It shouldn’t be to hard to uninstall a trial version so I guess I forgot some steps in this process.

I would appreciate your advice.

Thanks in advance ;-)

Ed

It seemed that after uninstalling the software the files remained on my hard-disk. Obviously being present in the Steinberg directory they were read every time I started Cubase.

Once I manually deleted the VST HSO directory including it’s content the error message didn’t appear anymore.

For the location on your computer use the “HALion Library Manager” see screenshot.

Note: Of course any created songs using instruments from HSO will still give an error message because the composition keeps looking for them. I just changes these instruments to none HSO instruments and also this problem was solved.

Hope this can help others ;-)

Greetz,

Ed
