Hello!

I try to get the sound that slides up or down automatically. For example you can listen sliding sound here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPf0YbXqDm0 (0:58-1:05)

I tried to do it by setting big Portamento value and pressing two keys in a row for the sound to slide from one key to another. It works but it’s hard to control it.

Please advise how this can be done other ways? Ideally it should start sliding automatically after a key is pressed

You might want to become familiar with the Pitch Envelope Generator (PEG). See page 115 of the XS Owner’s Manual (http://download.yamaha.com/file/10074), and the Synthesizer Parameter Manual (http://download.yamaha.com/file/48523) beginning on page 9.
