Hi I have upgraded my system and have gone from PC to Mac because of the XS firewire connection situation. I now have the Firewire 800 to 400 pin adaptor and thunderbolt adaptor ready to go.
Do I need a separate midi interface component or can I plug the XS via thunderbolt directly into the Mac ?

The FW connection carries both audio and MIDI.
No, it does not have MIDI...audio only. Use the FW connection for the XS itself (MIDI and audio) and use the Apollo for microphones or other instruments. If you won’t be using mikes and other instruments, just return it to the dealer. |

So here we go:
To recap:
Issues :
1...When I open Cubase and I chose the “Recording” template
Firstly… Good idea or no ?
Cubase cinques with the Motif and these are the settings VST Connections:
Devices to Device Set Up
What should it be ?
If I create a New Project and don’t use the template and choose
I imagine its all simple but I just haven’t gotten it yet ? I look forward to any help Cheers Skybo |
