The ribbon in my keybed has a small rip in it and my middle octave keys do not work now.

Does Yamaha have a part# and can I order it from them?

I have looked all over the internet for this and cannot find it.

SUMITOMO- Y AWM 2896 80C VW-1 -F-

I’ve counted the pins several times and determined that it is 23 pins.

Motif ES 6

The ES 6/7 used the FS keybed, and I’m not aware of them having a 23 pin cable.

The XS6/7 and XF6/7 use the FSX keybed. The 61-key has one 23 pin cable (the 76-key has two). Each cable is folded at the ends so they’re at right angles to the rest of the cable.

WF12750R is the part number for the cable for the FSX keybeds.

I suggest that you contact Yamaha and discuss what you have/need with them.

The way you describe it in the XS6 is exactly what I need for my ES6.

We opened up an XS and did not see the ribbon…

On FSX keybeds the 23 pin cables are used to interconnect the key contact boards.

See the Yamaha 24x7 information…
