Hello,
(sorry for my poor English !)
I have a problem with my device.
I would like to use two buttons of a completely programmable pedal to increment - decrement MOTIF RACK XS’s programs in multi mode.
To do this, I suppose I have to used CC96 and CC97 with NRPN CC99 and CC98 ?
I have found NRPN in PDF “motifrackxs_en_dl_c0” page 74 “MIDI PARAMETER CHANGES TABLE” line 4 “Program Number”.
(Value in hexa is 37H=55)
CC99 (NRPN MSB) 55
CC98 (NRPN LSB) 3
CC96 (to increment) 0

It does not work.
Where is the error?
How to read the YAMAHA’s MIDI PARAMETER CHANGES TABLE ?

Thank you for your help.

Welcome to the forum.

Only certain Parameters can be incremented/decremented via MIDI.

The Rack XS Owner’s Manual, pages 105~107, covers MIDI messages. Valid RPNs are shown on page 106, and on Data List page 60 under (3-3) REGISTERED PARAMETER NUMBER.

About the Rack ES, but applies to the Rack XS as well:

Bank Select MSB and LSB are shown on Data List page 62,
Bank Select table. Read the notes beneath the table.
