Was asked to provide the synthetic vocal solos in Framptoms hit tune.  Just wondering if anyone has tackled this before so I don’t try and reinvent the wheel

Many thanks

This subject of emulating talk box guitar solos on a keyboard has come up many times.

Honestly, the answer is you need a guitarist (or yourself) with a talk box to do it. It’s one of the few things that simply cannot be done with samples or effects on a keyboard.

You understand how a talk box works, right? It’s literally a box with a plastic tube coming out of it. The guitarist puts the tube in their mouth, then plays guitar and “talks” into the tube at the same time.

DavePolich.  My apologies.  I generally search the archives before posting a query.  I did find several posts using keyword FRAMPTON that parroted what you wrote.

I do appreciate the links you provided as well.

Cheers
